PineappShell collection: The paintings in this collection were inspired by two tropical motifs: pineapples and shells... which led me to coining the term "PineappShell." Back in the day, I enjoyed beach combing with friends who are avid shellers. It was during that time that I painted most of the shells in our current collection. (Note: Although pineapples are not native to Hawaii, they are a part of the local plantation history. ) We have other designs in our PineappShell collection- please take a look!
This was the first PineappShell painting that I made and features the stunning and elusive sunrise shell. My favorite sunrise shells are vibrant orange with a touch of pink. The original elements of this painting was made of watercolor and composed digitally.
